Fire Safety Inspections:
We have experience in the inspection of all types of building occupancies for matters relating to fire safety and risk assessment. We are available to survey your premises and make confidential, comprehensive reports and recommendations to management.

Fire Investigations:
We have a continuing, close relationship with the New Zealand Police, assisting with the establishment of fire causes and facilitating the apprehension of arsonists or fire lighters. The Company has ownership of the first ever Accelerant Detector Dog in New Zealand.

Building Warrant of Fitness and IQP Inspections:
Peter is approved as an I.Q.P. (Independently Qualified Person) for the Territorial Authorities of the Wellington Region as well as all of the Local Authorities in the South Island. We carried out many of the 1995 IQP inspections of many Wellington Schools for Works Consulting Services Limited, issuing Building Warrant of Fitness for those buildings in the area.

Evacuation Schemes & Procedures:
We are available to assist building owners formulating Fire Evacuation Schemes (in accordance with the Fire Safety and Evacuation of Buildings Regulations 2006), by obtaining the necessary approvals for them. Our specialty involves the formulation of “staged evacuation schemes” for Private Residential Care Premises facilities.

Staff Training:
We take a personal interest in the training of staff for our clients. Most training presentations are ‘Site Specific’ and relate to the building the clients work in.
For several years, Peter was selected to prepare and deliver specialist training to members of the Diplomatic Protection Squad of the New Zealand Police.

Domestic Fire Sprinkler Systems
Peter has undertaken a course of study with the Building Research Association of New Zealand and are both qualified as a designer of the domestic sprinkler system. As such installations can only be installed by ‘Craftsmen Plumbers’, Fire Risk Management Limited have formed strategic liaisons with appropriately qualified plumbers.
